What causes dog’s bad breath?
Dogs, like people, are subject to plaque build-up on their teeth. Of course, the situation with dogs is even worse as few of them brush their teeth twice a day! When you also consider that rarely are leafy greens the backbone of a dog’s diet, it’s really not surprising that dogs suffer from bad breath.
Other dental problems are also common in dogs: periodontal disease, tooth decay, bacterial infections, etc. Is it any wonder dogs sometimes get bad breath?
All dogs have some degree of breath odor. In itself, a dog’s bad breath is no big deal. But what causes a dog’s bad breath can definitely be a big deal: Particularly bad breath may be a sign that bacteria and other toxins are destroying your dog’s teeth and gums.
Even worse, the effects of dental diseases are not just confined to your dog’s mouth. Its effects are felt throughout your dog’s body. Periodontal diseases can actually shorten your dog’s life, and should be treated.

Safety first – As with any edible treat, monitor your dog while chewing. Ensure that your dog adequately chews the treat. Do not feed the treat if you question your dog’s ability to adequately chew. Swallowing any item without adequately chewing may be harmful or fatal to a dog. Do not feed more than the Maximum Daily Intake. Feed Z–Ridge only after completely reading all feeding instructions .
Maximum daily intake – Z-Ridge is not recommended for puppies under 6 months of age or dogs weighing less than 5 lbs. Always be sure your dog has access to fresh, clean water. Feed the following maximum daily amounts according to your dog's weight:
Small bones:
5-25lbs. = 2 and 1/2 bones
