I am just AMAZED!!!! If you are like me...and say oh of course they are going to say it works! I am really hard to convince that something really works like they say it does....BOY WAS I WRONG THIS TIME!!! My 9 yr old Yorkie (which is my baby with fur) he is my life. Since he has been 1 1/2 he has had multiple problems beyond I think any dog. I have spent seriously 24,000.00 in vet and hospital bills! Everyone telling me I was crazy! I just could not let him go! I just recently took him to the emergency vet because he was gasping for air and his stomach was blown up so big I thought it would pop. After keeping him at the hospital overnight the Internal Medicine DR. told me he was very sorry but he probably only had 2 days to a week to live. He was at the very end stage of liver failure. He was so limp, not eating. He could not even stand to go the bathroom I had to hold him up. I cried so much, I couldn't eat or sleep and missed work. I was a wreck...this dog is my baby! He was at the end stages of liver failure with approx. 15% of his liver only working. He said there was absolutely nothing he could do, I even asked him if he could get a liver transplant and he said no they don't do it for animals. He actually said I should think of just putting him down but I couldn't. So I had a Dr. appt. for myself and had told him how stressed I was and what the sistuation was and he said you may want to try Milk Thistle, we suggest it to humans when they have liver problems. So as soon a I got home I got on the computer and found this site to get Milk Thistle and I had them ship it to me overnight. I am so shocked!! I am serious when I say this, within in 3 days he started to spark up and I was shocked. As days were going by he has getting better and better each day. I took him back to my vet and he was in shocked and said in the 30 year he has been a vet he has never seen any dog bounce back from the stage my dog was at. It has been a month now and my dog is still here and he is doing all the stuff a normal dog would do...he runs, plays with his toys and we go for our walks. This was truly a miracle I seen right before my eyes. I never usually write reviews either but I thought I may give another dog lover hope if they had a dog that was as bad as mine. My 9 1/2 yr. mini schnauzer Disney developed liver disease a little over a year ago. He has had quite a few episodes of poor appetite, vomiting and lethargy. We have had a battery of tests performed and spent thousands in medications and hospitalization for severe episodes and testing. Milk Thistle was my last resort and figured I would give it a shot. It was easy to administer but unfortunately it didn't work for him. After being on it for well over a month, his liver counts are higher than ever. I'm not sure if the Milk Thistle caused the raise in his liver enzyme count or not, but suffice it to say, it didn't work.

Our dog of 10 years was diagnosed with liver cancer with little hope. We've lost beloved pets to little hope causes before and decided to bring tom home. We found Milk Thistle with high praises on the internet and purchased it right away. He is taking medicine prescribed by our vet along with milk thistle and he is basically like himself. He's up and around again though at 10 he's not exactly active. And he is not cured. His liver is still enlarged but he is better. We are looking at the quality of life which is basically as it was before his illness. We are hoping for the best. Thanks.

My 15 Border Collie had a wellness test.The test indicated her liver levels at 5500 !!! Normal is 100. I was frantic to get my beloved dog some help. I was told by my Vet my time would probably be limited with her. As I began searching for natural supplements to help her i came upon this site. Milk thistle was recommended to help the detox the liver.I have been giving it to her faithfully once a day for one yr.I am so HAPPY to report to the everyone her liver levels are now at 748 ! wonderful news. My dog is almost 15 years old and she has had a history of extremely high liver levels. For the last 6 months, I have been using milk thistle in her dinner along with some other natural supplements and monthly acupuncture. The last time I had her blood work done, we saw a significant decrease in her liver levels. I believe the milk thistle along with the other natural treatments are making a huge difference and prolonging my dog's life! My little dog is 16 years old. She got liver disease. It cost me $600. at the vets. She stayed there for a week, could't eat with IV's. They couldn"t do anything else for her so I took her home. She was near death. I orderd milk thistle and payed $21.00 for fast shipping. I thought she was going to die any minute. I gave her the milk thistle as soon as I got it. She got better in 3 days. Still doing great. It's a wonderful product.

My 14 yr old lab, Otis, was diagnosed with liver cancer aprox 1 month ago . I was not given an estimated time frame for him but assumed it would not be very long at his advanced age. It's been over a month now & he is doing very well. His appetite is in full force & he seems happy, comfortable & not in any discomfort. This product is great and I'm so glad I found it! This has done wonders for my 10 yr old lab. At one point we thought we were going to lose her as her liver values were so high. This product in conjunction with the prednisone the Vet prescribed has completely turned her prognosis around. She is back to her old self and her liver values are back in the normal range. I currently have my 13 yr old Shepherd X on the Milk Thistle and also a 5 yr old very overweight foster kitty who is now benefitting from this liquid wonder. What I love about the Pet Wellbeing products is the fact that being a liquid, they can be hidden in a wee bit of wet food. I recommended the Milk Thistle for a friends old 14 yr old dog and he is improving also. Now all 3 pets are improving, eating better and generally having better health. My chocolate lab had a blood test which came back with a slightly higher than normal liver reading. Milk Thistle is really important for a dog on Chemo therapy such as my dog Daisy. Chemo damages organs in the body and milk thistel helps protect from that damage the chemo does. I have been giving Daisy her milk thistle along with other cancer products sold here since we found out she had cancer in order to boost her immune syster for that harsh chemo we knew would be coming her way :(
I just add the drops on a spoon and feed them to her! She seems to like it as she licks it all up!

I have a dog that has Addison's. This is different from Cushings. I emailed PetWellBeing and was told to use milk thistle. Right now, because I don't know how well her adrenals are functioning, I also add part of an adrenal support capsule daily along with this. I get this at a health food place as I cannot find one for dogs. (I use human supplement) Nicole is doing great. She is past 6 weeks of having to get a steroid injection. She is eating fine and her energy level is up there.

once i got the correct dose for my lab she seems to be better at least she seems to like it.hopefully my results are as good as some of the ones i read, the only issue i had that to figure out the right dosage for your dog was very hard! once i emailed they responded very quickly and answered my question. only recommendation is that they enclose better directions on your dogs weight compared to the dropper they provide.

It was hard when my Sheltie "Ozzie" was found to have a liver disease. His vet put him on the Denamarin tablets. He had to have 1 1/2 tablets each morning and he had to wait an hr after taking pills before he could eat. My dog hates pills and it was very hard on the both of us. I had to do something so I did a search on the Internet and found this product. I sent it over to my vet and she sd to go ahead and try this. I put 1ml in his food in the morning and evening and he eats. His levels are almost back to normal. He has been on this since May 2011.

Our dog is almost 12 and weighs about 17 lbs.She was diagnosed over a year ago with very high liver enzymes. We started her out on special dogfood for liver problems and I also used Milk Thistle and liquid SamE. I use Milk Thistle and SamE every day and when I forgot a day or two, Daisy began to throw up more often. She just had a blood test a month ago and, unfortuneatly, her liver enzymes were still very high. I believe the Milk Thistle, special dogfood and SamE have helped keep her liver as stable as it is going to get right now. She seems fine, drinks more water, but has energy and still wants to go for walks. I would recommend trying Milk Thistle, if even to maintain the quality of liver functioning. Daisy isn't crazy about the taste, but since it's in liquid form, I can easily use the dropper to dispense it. I have a very strong feeling that if I hadn't used Milk Thistle, SamE and the special dogfood, she would not be with us today.

I have been using this product for more than 5 years now, even before my Vet recommended this product to me. My Angel (beagle) was diagnosed with epileptic seizure disorder since she was barely two years old. To prevent the seizures, she was prescribed phenobarbital. After years of taking this medication, I was concerned on the effects of the medication on her liver. After thorough research, I stumbled on this product. The liver is essential for health, because it performs dozens of different functions in the body, including clearing out toxins. Yet liver disease (including cirrhosis) is one of the most common health problems in older dogs. It can damage all functions of the dog’s liver, with very harmful effects on their health.
Even dogs without liver disease may need support to detox prescription medications, which are often damaging to the liver. Milk Thistle is an excellent way for the liver to deal with this toxic load of medications., It is not contraindicated to any conventional medication and it is gentle enough for long-term use.
While the Milk Thistle sold in health stores is usually alcohol based and should not be given to dogs. PetWellbeing's Canine Milk Thistle is glycerine-based and safe for dogs.
Milk Thistle should be administered to every dog taking liver taxing medications and especially if the liver is damaged or diseased.
The active ingredients in Canine Milk Thistle are known collectively as silymarin.

Directions
Administer product orally once daily. Give one drop for every 1lb (0.5kg) of body weight up to 50 lb. Over 50 lb, add one drop per additional 2lb (1kg).
