Our tabby, Sheila, always seems to be getting into fights. On top of that, she's prone to skin irritations. Since we started using your First Aid Spray, her wounds are healing much faster and we can nip hot spots in the bud. It's a very good product.

Description

What is Feline First Aid Spray?

An all-natural herbal product, it's safe and non-toxic. At the same time, it's highly effective in treating minor cat wounds and skin problems. It has anti-fungul, and anti-bacterial properties that help prevent infection, repels insects, speeds healing, and reduces pain.

Treating minor cat wounds and skin irritations

Outdoor cats are very prone to suffering minor wounds, especially from fighting other cats.

If your cat suffers a minor injury, there's no need for undue alarm. It is, however, important to treat the wound quickly. If it becomes infected, healing becomes a longer and more painful process.

Traditional treatments (chemical antibiotics, corticosteroid creams, etc.) can work well for a while. But over the course of your cat's lifetime, traditional chemical treatments may have a negative affect on your cat's health:

  • Immune functioning may become compromised
  • Some chemicals can be harmful if ingested (and it's difficult to stop your cat from licking her wounds)

Also treats feline skin problems like "hot spots"

Cat skin irritation can be caused by allergies, insect bites, and assorted scrapes and scratches. Cats may excessively scratch the skin causing further irritation. Eventually the hair in the affected area can be torn out and the skin starts to bleed. An inflamed patch of skin may also ooze a clear or yellowish liquid. These are called hot spots, and can occur anywhere on the body.

Directions for use

Feline First Aid spray contains soothing aloe vera, plus a carefully-formulated blend of germ-fighting herbs. Applied to wounds or hot spots, it helps reduce pain, decrease healing time and prevent infection.

Clean the wound as well as you can, dry it, then apply Feline First Aid Spray. It'll help your cat's wound heal quickly and safely, while relieving pain. It also keeps insects away, preventing them from contaminating the site of injury.

Other recommended preventative measures include covering the affected area and clipping your pet's nails to minimize the ill affects of scratching.

  • Question:

I have adpoted a colony of ferrell cats ( had them T-N-R) has been 4 yrs so they are almost like house cats to me including the leader. He had a front leg injury and limped around for a couple of weeks finally is walking some what on it but along with it was a cut. It got smaller and smaller almost gone then he started licking on it more and the little cut has got bigger again. No vet will see him as he has been ferrel and only lets me pat and some times hold him ( no one else). What would heal this wound up while he licks on it that I could use for him?

      Answer:

I would suggest our First Aid Spray as it is very easy to administer. Once on the affected area the supplement can help heal the wounds faster. It is also an anti-inflammatory so it can help manage pain and prevent the wound from getting infected.

  • Question:

My cat has abrasions under his chin where he has scratched. The original tenderness was caused by a cat stand brush which he used excessively, removing his fur under his chin. Will the first aid spray help heal this area or is there some other product I should use? Also, since he and his brother lick anything I apply, is the spray safe if ingested?

      Answer:

I would suggest our All Clear Ointment: http://www.petwellbeing.com/products/cat-skin-disease It is very helpful in reducing inflammation. It also acts as a contact disinfectant and is very soothing to the skin.

  • Question:

Will the alcohol in this product sting my kitty's skin? She is highly sensitive. Thank you.

      Answer:

The alcohol used in this formula is necessary to help extract the medicinal benefits of the herbs used in this formula. It is not known to sting or irritate skin, since it is a topical treatment; however, sensitivy levels with each cat can vary similar to sensitivity levels of each human, so I'd recommend testing it on a test-patch first to see how they react. All of our shipments come with a 90 day return policy in which it can be returned back for a refund (minus shipping).

  • Question:

My cat has bad allergies which causes her to pull out her on her legs . Would this product be safe for her she constantly licks which turns into sores, she goes to the vet every two to three weeks to get cortisone shot which i think it is a waste of time and money

      Answer:

Pelle Pell, being that your cat is constantly licking itself, I would discourage the use of a topical ointment/spray. You may wish to change your cats diet to eliminate any dietary allergies that may cause this flare up if you haven't already. We also carry a product specifically for allergies in cats called Stimmune and you can find that here: http://www.petwellbeing.com/products/cat-allergies
