My beloved cat Goober was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease at the tender age of 17. She was asymptomatic at that time. I use this for my 15 yr. old CRF cat. It is easy to give although he does not like the taste. I have been giving it to him for 3 weeks now and I really see no difference in him as he is not super bad. I feel that with no side effects it can't hurt. It may be doing things I can not see and I may see a difference in his blood work on our next vet visit. I would say try it. Every animal is different.

We have a 4 year old cat that was showing signs of kidney failure. After taking her to our vet and to a specialist which basically said that it would be only a matter of time, I ordered Kidney Support Gold as a last resort. When my 12 year old cat was recently diagnosed with early stage kidney disease, I immediately purchased Feline KD canned and dry food from the vet. My cat wouldn't touch it and the money was wasted. I have a 16 year old female Scottish Fold. She is in the begining stages of kidney disease. To start out, I usually never write reviews, but had to share. My cat is only about 8 years old, but has one smaller kidney and recently diagnosed with stage 2 ckd. This review is about the company more than the product. I found this 3 1/2 months after our 10 year old "MISS KITTY" was diagnosed with Renal failure. I ordered this one week before we had to let go of her (wish I would have dicovered this place sooner, it may have helped her) I returned this opened product that we had given 4 doses of to our kitty, they prompty returned my purchase price.

my 18yr old boy has had struvite problems most of his life. after a bad bout, he was catherized and had some minor urine leaking off and on after that. a few months ago, he was like a Betsy Wetsy doll... what went in, came out...everywhere. his legs and hips were burnt and raw (like a diaper rash), his normally sleek black coat was dull and flaking. I took my 13 year old female calico to the vet because I suspected that she had a urinary tract infection, and I was right. But in doing tests on her, they discovered that she had severe kidney problems. They wanted to hospitalize her for 3 days at a cost of $3000 and do all kinds of tests and IV's etc. But, I said no. Because I have been through this before with another precious kitty of mine, who after 3 days of misery, died anyway. So, it was basically take her home and hope for the best.
