Comments about Ark Naturals Omega Mender Itch Ender - Dog:
My niece has a 9 yr old Australian cattle dog mix that has been chewing herself and scratching. She has been wearing a cone to help keep her from reaching these hot spots. She has been to the vet but nothing he gave her seemed to work. I bought this and gave it to my niece. She gave it to her for a few days and the scratching is gone! Tiger is out of her cone and doing well.

Comments about Ark Naturals Omega Mender Itch Ender - Dog:
I have 2 dogs and now 2 cats, as one recently died of cancer. I started by giving this to my Main Coon cat who was having issues with her fur. It had a tendency to knot excessively because she would lay on her back all the time, and she shed a lot of hair as well. She also had an unplesant odor. I wasn't brushing her much and I thought that was why her coat was such a problem, but my other Main Coon cat (which died recently from cancer) didn't have the same hair problems. I gave her the Royal Coat EFA as directed on the package, and after about 3 weeks I started noticing a difference. After about 6-8 weeks, the hair stopped knotting in huge clumps, and it started to lay down nicely instead of being fly-away. She stopped shedding so badly, and the odor went away. I still don't brush her very often, I don't need to. I thought it helped her so much, I started giving it to my other cat and 2 dogs. They didn't like it at first, and I never put it in their food because they wouldn't eat the food if they smelled it. But over time, she and one of my dogs started taking it straight from the dropper like a treat. The other dog and (not Main Coon) cat... they still hate it. Oh, well. :) I think it is easier to give liquids to my animals than pills.

Comments about Ark Naturals Omega Mender Itch Ender - Dog:
Well, I haven`t used it very long, but I notice that consistency is most important, cause when I skip a couple of doses, my dog starts scratching again, lately she is doing much better because I am more on a schedule with her,and the improvement in her coat is getting more noticeable, thicker, soft to the touch, etc. Best thing too is she sleeps better without the annoying itch which usually wakes her up to scratch. For me the only neg. thing is trying to chase her around the house to get her to take it, cause label says ,"to administer orally", so you can`t mix it in her food. that`s the reason for the "4" rating.

Description
What is Canine Skin Irritation?
Dog skin irritations and disorders are the most common pet ailments. A healthy dog has bright, odorless hair and skin, free of debris, grease and irritation. A dog's skin may be irritated if it has a rash, is dry and/or flaking, greasy, red, or itchy.
The causes can be numerous from food allergies to fleas and ticks and other irritants. If your dog vomits after a meal, this is an indication that he may have a food allergy. Dog owners should pay close attention to the dog's environment such as its bed or sleeping space which should be cleaned or changed frequently.
Royal Coat's formula contains fish oil (Omega 3) and borage oil (Omega 6), the combination clinically proven effective in the treatment of canine skin disorders.
Clinical veterinary research has shown that EPA, DHA, and DHA available from fish oil and borage oil provide rapid relief for excessive shedding, dry skin, constant licking and scratching, eczema and dermatitis. These fatty acids are bio-available immediately for a fast improvement in you dog's coat and skin.
