Description
What Is Felimm?
If your cat is suffering from Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)... or Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV)... you will want to pay careful attention to every word on this page.
Although feline FIV and FeLV are different viruses, they share one thing in common... they weaken your cat's immune system.
With a weak immune system, your cat becomes much more vulnerable to illnesses... some that could be fatal. In fact, right now your cat's weak immune system could be trying to fight off a deadly virus.
Since there is no cure for FeLV or FIV in cats, what you must do is try to maintain the strength of their immune system.
Felimm is a multi-herbal formula designed to do exactly that... help maintain a healthy immune system in your cat.
How does it do this? It all comes down to the unique herbs in the formula... and how they work together to help keep your loyal little friend healthy.
How will the ingredients in Felimm help my cat?
St. John's Wort: this popular herb is an immunostimulant which means it helps stimulate the health and strength of your cat's immune system. Not only that, St. John's Wort is also anti-viral... it battles against viruses that are attacking your cat's weakened immune system. This is a perfect combination: helping to build up the immune system while fighting off viruses that are attacking it.
Alfalfa: this plant contains high levels of chlorophyll which works as an antioxidant in your cat's bloodstream. It also contains high levels of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients that are valuable for a cat with an immune disorder.
Burdock: this anti-leukemic herb promotes blood detoxification. It helps support healthy liver function and is known for improving skin complexion.
Aloe: this plant contains "Acemannan" which supports the production of immune system promoting chemicals. Like St. John's Wort, it is an immunostimulant to help maintain the health of your cat's immune system. It is also anti-bacterial which is so important when your cat's immune system has been compromised.
Cat's Claw: this herb helps encourage a healthy immune system. It's a natural source of healthful antioxidants and is anti-inflammatory which can help with any joint issues.
Dandelion: helps to naturally detox the liver. This herb assists in bringing down water retention and promotes healthy kidney function. It also supports proper gallbladder function while encouraging better digestion and appetite.
Gotu Kola: promotes the strength of the immune system. This herb is also rich in flavonoids which are antioxidants found in nature. Antioxidants help protect against damage to your cat's cells caused by free radicals. Consuming foods that contain flavonoids has been linked to a large number of health benefits.
Turmeric: in Indonesia it's called "The Queen of All Herbs". In China, Turmeric is a go-to herb that has been relied upon for centuries. The curcumin in Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant... which helps fight the damaging effects of free radicals. It also helps with liver detoxification, inflammation, and discourages tumor promotion.
Usnea: this herb has antibiotic properties along with being anti-bacterial and anti-fungal against Candida Albicans (which a weakened immune system is more vulnerable to). Usnea is also a source of Vitamin C and is a natural stimulant of the immune system.
Osha Root: this root has been used by Native Americans for generations. Osha is a natural immune builder. Not only is this herb anti-bacterial but it's also anti-viral which is so important if your cat has FIV or FeLV. Osha helps guard against viruses taking hold on the depressed immune system.
Myrrh: this herb has been used in China for thousands of years for its many health benefits. It helps enhance healing and is a natural antiseptic. A major benefit of Myrrh is that it helps control bacterial infections. This is crucial for a cat with an immune system that is compromised.
Goldenseal: originally relied on by Native Americans, this herb is a known immune supporting herb. It also helps control overgrowth of the Candida yeast which can cause many uncomfortable symptoms. On top of all this, Goldenseal also helps encourage proper digestion.
When you combine all these natural ingredients together you get a supplement that can help maintain your cat's immune system... fight off bacteria... and supply a variety of healthful nutrients.
If you have a cat with FIV or FeLV, you need all the immune protection you can get... and you probably want to do that naturally. Felimm is the all natural, holistic way to get that protection... and provide your cat with the best quality of life possible.

Question:
Can I use this for a kitten who has feline herpes? This sounds like a better immune booster then others I have read and it mentions aiding in upper respitory infections which my cat gets every few months from the herpes? This and the easy eye seems like a good systemAsked on 1/16/2012 by Anonymous1 answer
Answer:
Felimm is essentially an immune-stimulating formula as it contains a number of herbal ingredients with known functions such as immunostimulants, anti-virals, blood detoxification, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, antiseptic, and nutritionally packed with antioxidants. It normally is recommended for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV due to the compromised immune systems in chronically ill cats with this disease. For feline herpes virus, we actually have a specific formula called Respiratory Aid that would be recommended: http://www.petwellbeing.com/products/cat-cough. This formula is recommended for feline herpes virus and its associated respiratory symptoms as it contains herbs that help target inflammation and soothes irritated tissues and spasms within the respiratory tract, as well as aiding in the expansion of the cat's respiratory system to allow for oxygenated blood to flow freely. It also contains natural anti-inflammatory, astringent, expectorant, anti-septic, demulcent, and nutritionally dense herbs. The only cautionary note with Respiratory Aid is that it should not be used in conjunction with digoxin-based medications.Answered on 1/18/2012 by Anonymous

I have a healthy 13 lbs felv+ cat and other 2 felv- cats, all living together. Can I give Felimm to them all or just to the felv+ one? Thanks!Asked on 1/16/2012 by Simone from Brazil1 answer

This product is formulated specifically for pets with a chronic illness so is not recommended for use in otherwise healthy pets. Question:
I have a 7 month old cat with feline leukemia who has seizures. The vet has given me phenobarbital to try to control the seizures - would it be dangerous to mix this product with the phenobarbital? Thank you for your assistance.Asked on 1/6/2012 by Rafster from Fribourg, Switzerland1 answer
Answer:
We are not aware of any interactions between using our Felimm with other medications. To be sure we would suggest printing the ingredients and consulting with your vet: http://www.petwellbeing.com/products/felimm-for-feline-leukemia-virus-and-fiv#ingredientsAnswered on 1/10/2012 by Coreena
Question:
I first contacted you concerning ESCLEAR and explained my cat had leukemia, but on thinking back to what the vet actually said it was FIP, my mind automatically connected that to leukemia. I don't know what the difference is as I am certainly not qualified to distinguish between different tyoes of cancer or whatever so I am asking you about this. I do not take my baby back to the vet until Monday and would like to know sooner. If there is a big difference is there a different type of your product that would better suit? Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Anita HynesAsked on 11/17/2011 by Bear from Aurora, Colorado1 answer
Answer:
FIP is not a type of cancer. It is a mutated virus that results in a inflammatory reaction within the effected tissues. It is generally fatal and treatment is usually symptomatic and palliative only, i.e. typically the owner is advised to make the cat as comfortable as possible. We do have products that can address symptoms of FIP, such as diarrhea ( Plantaeirs: http://www.petwellbeing.com/products/cat-diarrhea ) or Milk Thistle to support liver function ( http://www.petwellbeing.com/products/cat-liver-disease ) and Tripsy to support kidney function ( http://www.petwellbeing.com/products/cat-kidney-disease ). Each of these products has a full listing of ingredients if you would like to discuss them with your vet as treatment options.Answered on 11/18/2011 by Anonymous
Question:
I'm wondering if this is a new product because I don't see any reviews. Has this been used with cats successfully? I am using the Resthyro and Plantaeris products from you and they are great. Can the 3 of these be combined safely for my feline leukemia kitty?Asked on 10/27/2011 by Anonymous1 answer
Answer:
Felimm is fine to take with Resthyro and Plantaeris. This is not a new product. It is very specifically to target FIV/FeLV, which may be why there are less customer reviews than our ES Clear that is for cancer in general. This product is also counter indicated to some other medications, which may be another reason why some people chose to go with our ES Clear. Felimm is the better product when a cat does have FIV/FeLV, but you should review the cautionary notes here: http://www.petwellbeing.com/products/felimm-for-feline-leukemia-virus-and-fiv#directionsAnswered on 10/28/2011 by Customer Care from CSR Office
