Comments about PWB Brands Grizzly Salmon Oil for Cats:
My cat had been through a lengthy illness and she is 18. After she had gotten better, I noticed that her fur was a little thin. I thought that being sick might have had something to do with it, but also realized that, since I feed her a raw meat diet, she might still be missing something.
I do know that age affects absorption of minerals, etc. and she is an indoor cat.
I decided to try Grizzly Salmon Oil. I put the recommended amount on her meat in the morning. She goes crazy for it! And now, a few weeks later, her fur is thick and shiny.

Comments about PWB Brands Grizzly Salmon Oil for Cats:
I must have the pickyest cats in the world, because they do not like it---won`t touch their food if it`s mixed in there and I`m one upset caretaker, that`s for sure. In the meantime , my one tabby cat`s fur continues to be dull- greacy and flaky,. Will try again though, I havent given up because I know this salmon oil is good for them , just gotta figure out how to get them to ingest it, without knowing it, or smelling it! That`s why the 3 star rating!

Description
The right Omega-3 fatty acids are from fish!
Grizzly Salmon Oil supplies a daily supplement rich in EPA and DHA - the right omega-3 fatty acids. The recommended daily dose of Grizzly Salmon Oil yields approximately 500 to 2500 milligrams of these important fatty acids, depending on your cats weight. Your cats metabolism uses these nutrients immediately without any prior conversion. Plant-based omega-3 fatty acids, such as those found in flax seed, must be converted by your cats body prior to use. This conversion is very inefficient and may result in as little as 5 % - 15 % of the fatty acids being actually metabolized.
Omega-6 fatty acids
When given to your cat as directed according to weight, Grizzly Salmon Oil delivers approximately 50-300 milligrams of linoleic acid, the essential omega-6 fatty acid. Other omega-6 fatty acids are present in only very small amounts. These naturally occurring acids are like a double-edged sword. On one hand, linoleic acid is essential for your cat because it cannot be produced by your cats own metabolism. On the other hand, large amounts of unbalanced omega-6 fatty acids have been proven to lead to a higher risk of inflammatory diseases, arthritis stiffness and a weak immune system.
How Grizzly Salmon Oil™ is produced
Grizzly Salmon Oil is gently extracted in a state-of-the-art production plant that handles nothing but high quality, salmon-based products. A totally enclosed and continuous in-line extraction process ensures the oil is kept away from air until it is pumped into your pet's food bowl!
The origin of Grizzly Salmon Oil™
Grizzly Salmon Oil is a value-added product originating from a co-production with other salmon seafood products. This co-production is the basis for Grizzly Salmon Oil's unique high quality and freshness - its extraction enjoys the same high standards imposed by the seafood processing plant. Grizzly Salmon Oil's source fish are wild Alaskan Salmon.
Directions
Use Grizzly Salmon Oil the correct way
First of all, be sure to follow the directions on the label and give your cat the proper amount of Grizzly Salmon Oil. Also, do not put Grizzly Salmon Oil on more food than your cat will eat in a single feeding. Because Grizzly Salmon Oil is all-natural, it contains very valuable and highly reactive fatty acids, which your cat will benefit from. Leaving Grizzly Salmon Oil on your pet's food for several days at a time will cause the highly reactive fatty acids to be oxidized by the air. This results in less valuable, partly saturated fatty acids and you will notice that the oil loses its fresh, pure scent. This will happen within a few days and is your proof that Grizzly Salmon Oil has a high content of natural, unaltered poly-unsaturated fatty acids like DHA and EPA.
How much Grizzly Salmon Oil should my cat get?
Add as many pumps of Grizzly Salmon Oil as your cat needs according to your dog's weight. Recommended amounts are indicated in the following table:
| Body Weight | Pump Strokes |
|---|---|
| up to 7.5lbs | 1/2 |
| 7.5 - 15lbs | 1 |
| over 15lbs | 1 - 2 |
