I do not have carpeted floors but my cats seem to be able to be bad anyway. Between sleeping on the furniture right where I haven't place a "rug" to deciding to pottie by their cat door (yes they are in and out cats)or spray a cabinet or two they are a handful. This product does what it claims and is a great aid to me. I have even treated older spots and while that takes a bit more time because of the previous clemicals "setting" the stain it does reduce the order. Also my cats are not targeting the areas as much. Less of this is my spot and I will cover your sent with my sent attitude. Do as directed evening though you may want to wash the spot first resist, let this product do its thing first and then clean up.

Directions
Shake bottle well. Before using, test surfaces to be treated for color fastness by applying to a hidden area; wipe with a cloth. If dye is removed from the test area, do not use this product on those surfaces.
For odor elimination: If possible, first wipe up excess odor-causing area with this product. Saturate urine stains. Apply enough to reach urine penetration in the pad and floor.
In carpets, this may mean lifting carpet and applying directly to pad and floor. Because of poor air circulation, carpets and upholstery may take up to 2 weeks to dry completely, during which time you may still smell an odor. To treat large areas, use a garden sprinkler can. Allow everything to air dry completely before expecting complete odor elimination. If, after 2 weeks, there is still an odor, this means the product did not reach the odor-causing material (i.e. urine). Pinpoint odor source by sniffing next to carpet or upholstery and repeat process.
For stain removal: wipe up as much of stain as possible, then thoroughly soak stain with product at full strength. Wait five minutes, then wipe away stain with a cloth. A stiff bristle brush will help in working out tough stains. If stain is not completely removed, repeat and allow to work for one hour or more and wipe stain with cloth.
For Living Areas, Bird Cages and Litter Boxes: Use full strength.

Question:
I just bought the Urine Destroyer to use on an old comforter I had stashed away after my aging cat had some leaking problems. Most of it I was able to catch and clean right away but a few spots were left unattended. I just dragged the blanket out of storage and would like to use it but without knowing where specific spots are I'd like to use some of the product in the washing machine. I don't see any instructions on the bottle for washing, do you recommend a way? Perhaps adding it to the wash along with a detergent or instead of?

Yes, Natures Miracle can be used for laundry. For general cleaning and deodorizing, use two cups of Natures Miracle in place of laundry detergent in cold water only, on delicate setting. Do not use a dryer or hang outdoors in the sun to dry, as heat can weaken the enzymes in Natures Miracle and render them ineffective. If you have clothing with a strong urine odor, it is advisable to soak the garment in full strength Natures Miracle for 10-15 minutes, and then hang indoors to dry naturally.
