Hard to get correct measurement, very messy.....so far has taken care of kitty's problems(blood in urine and not passing urine...spent over 300.00 at vet and nothing helped, very grateful for this product (but, she has only been on it two weeks) and she's doing terrific...also, I have another cat that is on thyroid gold and is doing well ( has been on thyroid gold for two months) will take him back to vet in a couple months to check thyroid l already spent over 300.00 on this cat for thyroid problems, medicine that vet gave made him throw up and all food went right thru him (I think he wouldn't have made it, if he stayed on medicine that vet gave him) hope this helps someone out there

Our cat Harley doesn't care for the flavor but he is 10 years old and finiky. I found that mixing the Urinary Gold with VitaGravy makes it tolerable for him.
Our Vet gave him a 50/50 chance of survival after unblocking him. He spent 4 days at the Vet flushing his kidneys via IV and cathiter as a result of a UTI/blockage. My male cat had blood in his urine & alot of pain. He would make a growling/grumbling sound while cleaning himself. After 3 vet visits I was told that it is just stress & that theres nothing you can do about it. They recommended a pherimone, which didn't seem to help any of his pain. How do I know if my cat has urinary tract issues?
Some common signs and symptoms can include:
- Soiling in inappropriate places
- Visibly in pain during urination/prolonged urination
- Frequent urination, inability to hold urine/dribbling
- Excessive licking of the urinary opening

- Increased thirst

What causes urinary tract issues?
Presence of crystals in the bladder can cause irritation and blockage as can kidney stones and urinary tract infections.
There are many factors that can cause these blockages such as alkaline/acidic urine. Alkaline urine can be associated with a poor diet so sticking with a high quality, low ash and magnesium food can help. Using a high quality canned food most certainly helps or even better a prepared dehydrated (hydrate before feeding) or raw diet.
